ME HOD's Profile

Prof. Subodh Kumar Dey is working in this institute for more than 5years as Associate Professor & HOD in Mechanical engineering department. He obtained his Bachelor Degree in BE(Mechanical) from Bengal Engineering College, Shibpur(WB) presently known as IIEST, Shibpur and M.Tech in Material Handling Science & Technology from IIT Kharagpur. He served more than 36 years in Steel authority of India Limited in various positions upto the rank of Executive Director. He visited USSR, Paris, Madrid, and Berlin to attend middle management & senior management programs during his tenure in SAIL. He acquired expertise on Design, operation & maintenance of Industrial Hydraulics, lubrication & fluid facilities. He used to teach Design of machine elements, Material Handling, Maintenance engineering, Non conventional engineering, Engineering Graphics and Safety & occupational health.
